Lolit Solis Air Honest Opinion On How SAP Beneficiaries Are Selected
LOLIT SOLIS – Entertainment news writer Lolit Solis expressed her disappointment in the process of selecting Social Amelioration Program (SAP) beneficiaries.
The Philippine government released billions to help the poor families amid the 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. President Rodrigo Roa Duterte said the P275 billion is not enough.
Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said the government is planning to sell Imelda Marcos’ “Hawaiian Collection.” The jewelry is worth P700 million. The money could help in the COVID-19 fight.
In a previous article, some residents in Talisay City, Negros Occidental were forced to return their cash aid after they were caught lying about the information they submitted to the Department of Social Welfares and Development (DSWD).
Lots of people were also complaining about the “pasaway” cash assistance recipients. Some of them use the money to buy illegal drugs or gambling.
Recently, veteran columnist Lolit Solis took to her Instagram account to express her opinion regarding the process of distributing the cash aid to the needy Pinoys amid the COVID-19 crisis. She asked “bakit pati mga addict, lasenggero, sugalero, meron natanggap, peo iyon iba wala.”
The former talk show host said the government should investigate this matter because a large amount of money has gone to waste. This should not be tolerated by the government because lots of families are struggling right now.
“Ang laking pera ng sinasayang sa mga tao na hindi dapat bigyan. Buti pang pagkain na lang binigay sa kanila, baka mas mabuti pa. Maganda iyon intention , sana huwag sirain ng meron mga corona virus sa utak,” she wrote.
