According to Manila Bulletin, Nograles said that the government will not tolerate those who will violate the laws, among those include those who abuse aid beneficiaries.

“Kung assumption niyan qualified naman pala siya, ‘yun lang pumasok siya sa bawal na gamot, wala tayo magawa kundi hulihin ‘yan at ikulong natin. Alam naman natin na bawal ‘yun, bakit niya ginawa,”

“Ikulong siya, kasi gumamit ng bawal na gamot o ginamit sa bawal na paraan.

He added that those who will violate related laws must be held accountable.

Among the other laws that will be charged against violators are the Bayanihan to Heal as One Act, the Revised Penal Code, or any criminal or penal laws.

As per the report, President Rodrigo Duterte recently warned the public that he will pull out support for subsidy beneficiaries if they are found abusing financial aid that they received.

He ordered the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) to conduct investigation regariding reports that there are those who do such act amid the quarantine.

Nograles further urged the public to discipline themselves and their own community despite appeals to show these amid the quarantine, adding that there should be public participation in ensuring observation with the ECQ guidelines in order to help contain the threat of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

The government repeated its appeal to the public to observe the stay-at-home policy and other ECQ guidelines.
