Are you leading a healthy lifestyle? Or do you smoke? Do you eat your greens and fruits everyday? Or you overeat junk foods and sweets. Truly, we are what we eat. And the result comes out through our body. What contributes a lot for a healthy lifestyle is good eating habits and doing physical activities.

And if you are quite not sure about having that healthy lifestyle yet, here are some tips you probably need to know for longer life and for your general health to benefit as well:

  • Vegetables, fruits, nuts, whole grains, healthy fats, and omega-3 fatty acids are the kinds that you should include in your healthy diet not those that are unhealthy, processed, sugar-sweetened beverages, trans fat, and sodium.
  • 150 minutes of physical exercises every week is suggested and doing more than suggested would be excellent. Take at least 30 minutes of moderate to vigorous physical activities everyday from moderate to vigorous.
  • Maintain a normal weight and normal body mass index (BMI) between 18.5 and 24.9.
  • Quit smoking. This one of the most common health advises but also among the most essential. Smoking has never been good to anyone’s health.
  • 5 to 15 grams of alcoholic beverage to women and 5 to 30 grams per day for men are suggested amount of health experts for moderate drinking of alcohol as per Harvard Health Publishing.
