Bacolod City Number Coding w/ Provincial Car Pass: Guidelines & Exemptions

BACOLOD CITY NUMBER CODING – Here are the guidelines and exemptions as number coding in Bacolod City takes effect today, April 22.

Crowd and mass gatherings are strictly prohibited which is social distancing is just as strictly as it is being implemented. Bacolod City, despite the Negros Occidental under modified community quarantine, still adapted the enhanced community quarantine in accordance to the declaration of President Duterte in Luzon.

Last April 13, Mayor Bing Leonardia issued Executive Order No. 30 which have set limitation on the use of home quarantine pass. Starting April 15, holders of quarantine passes ending in odd numbers such as 1, 3, 5, 7, & 9 are allowed to go out on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Meanwhile, those passes ending in even number such as 0, 2, 4, 6, & 8 are only allowed during Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. And on Sundays, all passes are not honored and people must strictly stay inside the safety of their homes.

And now, car plates of owners holding provincial car pass will also have their limitations set similar to HQP which is effective on April 22, 2020, Wednesday. From 4 A.M. to 10 P.M. only, cars with plate numbers ending in 1, 3, 5, 7, & 9 will be honored on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Plate numbers ending in 0, 2, 4, 6, & 8 are allowed on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday while no one is honored during Sunday. However, there are certain exceptions regarding this matter.

Those who exempted are the following according to post of TV Patrol Negros:

  • any government official or employee
  • medical worker, health workers, hospital workers, and among other frontliners
  • employees essential businesses
  • essential cargoes and prime commodities
  • medical emergencies for Bacolod Hospitals
  • emergency and rescue responders

The card holder must on board and social distancing remained to be observed even inside your vehicle. Meanwhile, for important appointments such as medical check ups, dialysis treatments, and purchasing medicines, those who do not have provincial car passes can leave their valid ID at a checkpoint.
