Ed Sheeran Donates Over $1 Million To Charities Amid COVID-19 Pandemic
ED SHEERAN – Global superstar Ed Sheeran donated at least $1.2 million to charities helping COVID-19 relief.
English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran is one of the world’s best-selling musicians. His name has been on the top of pop culture for several years now.
The 29-year-old Grammy winner started from being a struggling musician in England to becoming a worldwide sensation. Now, he’s just enjoying his wealth and music.
But everything has changed since COVID-19 struck then quickly spreading around the world. Billionaires and celebrities immediately responded to help fight the virus from China.
Recently, the biggest names in the music industry come together for a benefit concert called “One World: Together At Home.” The proceeds will help support the COVID-19 battle. Among the singers who participated are Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Alicia Keys, and Jennifer Lopez.
Ed Sheeran is the latest celebrity who step up in the amid the pandemic. Based on a report from Sugbo.ph, the singer decided to donate $1.2 million to charities amid the coronavirus crisis.
His huge donation will be given to the charities near his hometown in Suffolk. A source close to Ed said he also wants to help.
“It is horrible time and Ed wants to do what he can to help… he has split a seven-figure sum between local charities to try to ease the strain on his local community,” the source said.
According to the report, Ed Sheeran is currently working on his new music while in quarantine. We can all hope that he could make more amazing songs so he could help more.
