More than 70 artists gather online to honor and celebrate the frontline healthcare workers who are fighting against the 2019 novel coronavirus pandemic. The show includes performances from Madonna, Celine Dion, Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, and Lady Gaga.
Their performances were aired on all social media platforms and all NBC networks. Pop superstar Taylor Swift’s performance during the benefit concert made lots of people emotional.
Based on a report from Billboard, Grammy award-winning singer Lady Gaga reacted to Taylor Swift’s first live performance of her song “Soon You’ll Get Better” on the show. The emotional song is about her mother’s battle with cancer.
“This is so beautiful, Taylor… Thank you for sharing this vulnerable moment with us. You’re really, really even so much braver in this moment,” she said.
According to the report, Taylor Swift’s fans were shocked with her song choice because she previously said during it’s release in August that she has no plan to play it publicly.
“I don’t know if I’ll ever play it live… It’s just really difficult for me. It was hard to write. It’s hard to sing. It’s hard to listen to for me. But sometimes, music is like that. Sometimes it’s not just about stuff that was pleasant to feel,” Taylor said.
