9 Quezon City Jail Detainees Confirmed Positive for Coronavirus

QUEZON CITY JAIL DETAINEES – Nine (9) detainees in a jail in Q.C. were confirmed positive for the 2019 coronavirus or COVID-19.

The Philippines now is implementing a lot of measures to prevent the spread of the 2019 coronavirus or COVID-19 in the country. According to the Department of Health (DOH), there is now a total of 5,660 cases of the disease confirmed in the country.

Out of the 5,660 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the country, 362 died of the said disease. It includes doctors and nurses, the frontliners in the fight, who contracted the disease while treating patients.

With regards to the recoveries, DOH reported in the last two (2) days the biggest increases on the number of recoveries. The total now is at 435.

One of the cities greatly hit by COVID-19 in the Philippines is Quezon City. The local government of QC has recorded over 980 cases of coronavirus in the city.

Recently, another update crossed the surface. Based on a post of Rappler, 9 Quezon City jail detainees were confirmed positive for coronavirus.

As of this writing, there are still no further information regarding the matter. More updates may be posted soon.

The entire Luzon is currently under an enhanced community quarantine (ECQ). Everyone is advised to stay at home to curb the spread of the disease. Many businesses adjusted their operating schedule.

Not only Luzon but as well as several provinces in Mindanao and Visayas are implementing the ECQ now. There are also confirmed cases in the said parts of the country.
