Christopher De Leon To Donate Blood Plasma To Help Other COVID-19 Patients

CHRISTOPHER DE LEON – COVID-19 survivor Christopher De Leon told Lolit Solis that he will be donating his blood to help other patients.

Following a previous article, Philippine President Rodrigo Roa Duterte urged all survivors of the 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19) disease to donate their blood to the Philippine General Hospital. In February, the head of the World Health Organization (WHO) health emergency program, Dr. Mike Ryan, found out that the blood plasma of COVID-19 survivors could save the lives of critically ill patients.

Recently, three coronavirus survivors responded to Duterte’s call. On April 9, the went to PGH and donated their blood plasma to help infected patients.

On Wednesday, April 15, veteran entertainment columnist Lolit Solis disclosed on social media that Christopher De Leon will be donating his blood plasma. It can be recalled that the Kapamilya actor made headlines after he tested positive for coronavirus. His wife Sandy Andolong announced on April 14 that her husband has recovered from the disease.

The 73-year-old talent manager penned a lengthy post revealing some of Christopher de Leon’s plans and experience after recovering from the disease. She said the actor avoids watching the news about the 2019 novel coronavirus.

The prominent actor also told her that he wanted to do a once-a-year lockdown because he saw some positive effects.

“Sabi ni Christopher, sana raw kahit once a year magkaroon ng lockdown, ang laki daw pala ng nagagawa nito sa tao, iyong total rest ng physical at mind, iyong emotional reawakening, iyong nagagawa nitong clearing hindi lang sa tao kundi sa paligid,” Lolit said.
