Philippine Flag-inspired PPEs for Cagayan De Oro Frontliners

PHILIPPINE – CDO-based fashion Guela Ampong created a Philippine flag-inspired PPE of their frontliners.

Billionaires and leaders around the world are stepping up to combat the 2019 novel coronavirus pandemic. The virus from China has impacted the global economy and how we live our lives.

Classes, air and sea travel are suspended. The only way to end the pandemic and to help out frontliners is to stay indoors, avoid contact with COVID-19 patients and proper hygiene.

Aside from the government and rich individuals, fashion designers around the world also helping to combat the deadly virus. In a previous article, a 12-year-old fashion designer created a stylish face mask for healthcare workers.

Another fashion designer from the Philippines made rounds on social media after he created a unique personal protective equipment (PPE) for the frontliners. Based on a report from Virtual Pinoy, the Cagayan De Oro-based fashion designer, Guela Ampong, created a Philippine flag-inspired PPE for their healthcare workers.

He teamed up with Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Jamillah Watamama to create a unique protective gear. On April 6, he shared the photos of the hazmat suit. In the caption, he explained why he decided to create the PH flag-inspired PPE.

“Personal Protective Equipment Drive presents the Philippine flag-inspired Frontliner Hazmat. The customized hazmat design I decided to create symbolizes us, Filipinos!”

“Blue is for Peace, harmony, and unity. As we are now on each other’s back, helping one another to survive. Red for war against these unseen enemy – COVID19, Many of us, have succumbed to death, due to this fight,” he wrote.
