Photos of Shoppers in Blumentrit Neglecting Social Distancing Measures Goes Viral
The huge numbers of shoppers in Blumentrit, Manila neglect the social distancing measures amid the health crisis in the country.
A few weeks ago, President Rodrigo Duterte has placed Luzon on enhanced community quarantine to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease. He also declared the Philippines under a state of calamity.
The health workers also advised the public to stay at home and observe social distancing to prevent the further spread of COVID-19. Mass gathering, mass transport, and going outside for invalid reasons are also prohibited.
Recently, the Facebook page “News/Entertainment PH” has shared the photos of shoppers in Blumentrit, Manila violating the lockdown protocols. The photos garnered various reactions from the online community.
In the photos, it can be seen that a lot of shoppers trooped to Blumentrit to buy their basic necessities but ignored social distancing measures. It seems that the shoppers were not afraid of the deadly virus.
