Couple in Davao City Got Arrested for Violating Social Distancing Order

Davao City- Couple got arrested after caught holding each other hands amid the stricter implementation of physical and social distancing to prevent the spreading of COVID-19.

According to the report of RMN, the couple in Davao City identified as Balindong Salacob, 32, and Casamera Salacob, 37, both residents of Bryco, Bankerohan, Brgy.5-A.

They were caught in the act holding each other hands while walking in Metro Circle Bankerohan when they were reprimand by police officers along with police auxiliary. However, of them arrogantly respond to police, which forced police to arrest them and detained them at San Pedro Police Station.

The couple will be facing a violation of Article 151 of the Revise Penal Code or Resistance and disobedience to a person in authority or the agents of such person. They will be also charged for violating physical and social distancing amid enhanced community quarantine.

President Rodrigo Duterte has placed the entire Luzon on enhanced community quarantine along with Visayas and Mindanao, which limits the movements of the residents to contain the spread of the virus. The health authorities are also implementing the “Social Distancing” measures to prevent the quick spread of the virus.
