Update on Philippine Coronavirus Cases According to DOH

PHILIPPINE CORONAVIRUS CASES – The total confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Philippines increased by 284 today, April 13, 2020.

Currently, most countries in the world are fighting against the spread of a pandemic, the COVID-19 or coronavirus. It was first recorded in Wuhan City in China.

Over 81,000 infections were recorded in China and the coronavirus claimed over 3,300 lives. The Chinese community is now recovering. Sadly, several other countries are still on a fight against an outbreak.

The Philippines is one of the countries with confirmed cases of COVID-19. The total count is increasing for several weeks now.

Confirmed Coronavirus Cases in Philippines

Based on the recent report of the Department of Health (DOH), the Philippine coronavirus cases increased by 284 today, April 13, 2020. It brings the total count to 4,932.

According to the health department, 45 patients have recovered from the disease bringing the total recoveries to 242. The death toll is now at 315 after 18 new deaths were recorded.

Currently, the whole of Luzon is under an enhanced community quarantine. The authorities are advising the people to stay at their homes to prevent the spread of the infections.

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has previously announced a state of calamity in the whole country. In Visayas and Mindanao, most provinces are also implementing an ECQ to fight the spread of the disease.
