3 Members of 4Ps Caught Gambling Amid ECQ Got Arrested
Three (3) women arrested who are members of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program or 4ps caught gambling despite the government’s warning to stay at home.
The Philippine government is already exerting extra effort to extend help to the less-fortunate Filipino people whose livelihoods were affected by the enhanced community quarantine orders.
The government is already giving the social amelioration cash assistance to those families who are greatly affected by the public health crisis. Beneficiaries will receive the emergency support for two months where the subsidy ranges between Php 5,000.00 to Php 8,000.00 to around 18 million low-income households.
Meanwhile, three women arrested that are recipients of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program or 4ps were arrested after caught in the act doing gambling despite the government’s warning to stay in their own homes and enhanced community quarantine orders.
According to the Facebook post of P/Lt Col Heryl “Daguit” Bruno, they conducted Anti-Illegal Gambling Operation at Brgy. Sto. Niño 2nd, San Jose City, Nueva Ecija which resulted in the arrest of the suspects.
The arrested suspects and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to this station for documentation and proper disposition. A Case of Violation of PD 1602 (ILLEGAL GAMBLING) is being prepared for filing against the suspects.
