Pregnant Woman on Viral Video Claims Social Worker Refused To Give Her Social Amelioration Form Needed for Cash Aid
The pregnant woman on viral video stands on her ground that a social worker refused to give her social amelioration form.
Janessa Joy Cardenas, a female resident of Balagtas, Bulacan expressed her disappointment towards the social workers in their barangay who were allegedly choosing residents they will give cash aid.
Cardenas revealed that one of the social workers refused to give her a social amelioration form in order to receive a financial assistance from the government. She said that the leader even asked her if she is a voter.
“Hindi daw po ako pwede at tinanong ako nung lider kung ako daw po ay botante dito,” Cardenas said.
The disappointed lady explained that she has two children and her husband lose its job due to the implementation of the enhanced community quarantine. The woman also claimed that the worker scolded her.
However, the social worker refused to show on camera but denied all the accusations saying that the barangay gave a SAC form and some relief goods to Cardenas after the incident. A local official also urged the lady to delete the viral video.
“Siya ang nagsabi na buburahin niya ‘yung video niya dahil doon sa kanyang pagkakamali na nabuyo lang siya ng mga kapitbahay niya, kaya niya nagawa iyon,” Panginay barangay treasurer Danilo Ortiz said.
