Romblon Town Residents Receive Fresh Vegetables and Fish Instead of Canned Goods

The local government unit of Odiongan, Romblon gives fresh vegetables and fish to the residents instead of canned goods.

The local government units and several private organizations were already distributing relief goods and cash aids to the poor families whose livelihoods were affected by the enhanced community quarantine.

Most of our countrymen were severely affected by the lockdown protocols, which contributes to their burden on how can they provide food for their families. Government’s distribution of relief goods and financial aid could somehow relieve their current situation.

Recently, the Facebook page “GMA News” has shared the photos of fresh vegetables and fish given by the local officials to the residents of Odiongan, Romblon. The photos earned praises from the online community.

In the photos, it can be seen that the Odiongan, Romblon‘s local government unit is distributing food packs containing veggies and fishes. This is a little bit different from the canned goods and instant noodles gave by other LGUs to the quarantine affected residents.

The town decided to give fish and vegetables to help the farmers and local fishermen in the area while distributing goods to the less-fortunate people in the area.
