Relief Goods with Content and Prices Breakdown Goes Viral
Netizens praise the transparency of the Barangay Chairman for giving relief goods to his constituents with breakdown of its content and prices.
Mayors and other leaders of various provinces, cities, towns, and barangays are now controversial that do not seem to provide enough support and food aid to their constituents.
Previously, President Rodrigo Duterte has ordered the distribution of food to their constituents who are greatly affected because of the continuous rising cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the Philippine. In addition, Duterte also warned corrupt public officials to face arrest if they take advantage of COVID-19 aid.
However, there are also leaders who continue to impress their constituents. They include a barangay captain from Sta. Rosa, Laguna is a good example of so-called transparency.
Recently, netizen named Jet G Nera uploaded to his Facebook account a picture of the relief goods with transparency given by their chairman, Aldrin Lumague, which really impressed many.
Aside from the goods provided, there is also a breakdown of the names and its prices. In the photos, all the good was listed on a paper, how much it cost and the total amount of the relief aid they received from the barangay official.
The netizens were amazed to the transparency of the barangay chairman that the people could easily find out where their barangay funds went. Currently, it has 7,500 reactions, 78 comments, and 12,000 shares.
