DOH Gives Update on COVID-19 Cases in PH

DOH – The Department of Health confirmed 152 new cases of COVID-19 or coronavirus in the Philippines.

Philippines is currently battling a pandemic – the 2019 novel coronavirus. The said disease has affected several countries across the globe and, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), it is a long-term fight.

Officially called as COVID-19, the said disease can spread rapidly. It was first recorded in China where it prompted authorities to lock down Wuhan due to its outbreak. Over 81,000 people were in infected in China.

Lockdown’s not implemented in PH. Instead, the government decided to enforce an enhanced community quarantine in the entire Luzon. People can still go out but the movements are very limited to essential purposes like the buying of food.

Several provinces in Mindanao and Visayas also implement the ECQ. Everyone is advised to stay at home to curb the spread of the disease and to flatten the curve.

Recently, the Department of Health (DOH) released an update on the COVID-19 cases in the Philippines. Today, the health department recorded 152 new cases of coronavirus in the country. The recent addition brings the total to 3,246.

Furthermore, according to the health department, seven (7) new coronavirus patients recovered from the disease. There is now a total of sixty-four (64) recoveries.

Sadly, eight (8) new deaths due to COVID-19 were recorded. It brings the death toll to 152 now.
