Chel Diokno reacts to the mockings of President Duterte against him.
PRESIDENT DUTERTE – Human rights lawyer Chel Diokno claps back to President Rodrigo Duterte after all the mocking he received from him.
Human rights lawyer Chel Diokno felt the wrath of Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte against him last April 3 when he did this to him in national television. This was during his speech about pandemic Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) late night of Friday.
According to a previous report, the president mocked him over his failed senatorial bid last 2016, his physical appearance, being a “lousy lawyer, and even calling him man “intellectual liar”. This is after his supposed encouragement to the people to commit violations amid the crisis and for criticizing the government on how they addressed the deadly pandemic.
And on Saturday, April 4, the human rights lawyer hit back to the president and indicated that while it is just alright for his buck tooth to be his subject of insults, he should also put his focus on the needs of the people.
The lawyer stated on his Twitter post, “Mr. President, may mga kliyente akong tinutulungan na tinitiis na ang sakit at gutom, ngunit wala akong sinabihang manggulo o lumabag ng batas. Okay lang na pag-initan n’yo ako, pero tutukan n’yo rin ang pangangailangan ng mga tao.”
The president, during his speech, jokingly expressed, “Problema sa’yo, ‘pag nagsalita ka, ang laki ng ngipin mo kaya na-discourage ang mga tao. Pag magkita tayo, patalsikin ko isang ngipin mo.”
