Despite Official Reports, Wuhan Residents Claim True Death Toll In City Over 47,000
WUHAN DEATH TOLL – Recently, official reports from China revealed that new coronavirus cases in Wuhan have come to a halt.
Wuhan was previously the center of the outbreak in China. Moreover, the disease first emerged in a food market within the city which sold live wild animals.
Some whistleblowers within the state’s infectious disease team and residents of Wuhan themselves believe otherwise. Meanwhile, official reports have placed the death toll from the coronavirus in Wuhan at around 2,535.
But, residents of the city believed that the number is much higher than that of official reports. According to a report from Radio Free Asia, a resident had claimed that the death toll had reached over 47,000.
Residents first questioned official reports following masses of urns being delivered throughout Wuhan. Thousands of urns were said to be seen with funeral homes reported to have 5000 cremations in two days.
This meant that at a minimum, the number of deaths within the city was already double the official reports. As such, residents have started to express their belief that the government covered-up thousands of deaths.
Meanwhile, according to a report from Inquisitr, social media posts from Wuhan estimated that seven funeral homes cremated about 3,500 urns per day in the past weeks.
With this, the total number of fatalities would be placed at around 42,000. Additionally, there are other estimations based on cremation furnace capacity which revealed that the fatalities due to the virus were around 46,800.
Currently, there are over 700,000 reported cases of COVID-19 worldwide. Additionally, there had been over 33,000 deaths worldwide. But, due to mass testings being conducted daily, the number is expected to increase.
