Update on DOH’s Record of New COVID-19 Cases in the Philippines
DOH – The Department of Health confirmed 16 new cases of the 2019 novel coronavirus or COVID-19 in the Philippines.
PH is now running against time to curb the spread of COVID-19, a pandemic as declared by the World Health Organization (WHO). It can rapidly spread most especially in the crowd.
Currently, the entire Luzon is under an enhanced community quarantine. The declaration aims to limit the movements of the people to prevent gatherings of people where the disease can rapidly infect many.
Also, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte declared a state of calamity covering the whole nation. The local government units (LGUs) may now utilize their funds to fight the epidemic.
The Department of Health (DOH) takes the lead in the fight against the spread of COVID-19. Recently, the health department confirmed 16 new cases of coronavirus in the Philippines based on Inquirer.
The recent addition brings the total to 396. As of this writing, 18 patients have recovered from the disease.
