Office of VP Leni Robredo Delivers CCoronavirus Test Kits To RITM
LENI ROBREDO – The office of Vice President Leni Robredo delivered test kits to Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) to fight coronavirus.
Following a previous article, the office of Vice President Leni Robredo said they have collected P17.3 million for the protective gear of the coronavirus frontliners. President Rodrigo Roa Duterte placed the entire Luzon under enhanced community quarantine to contain the spread of the coronavirus.
Mass gathering and transportation will also be suspended. Almost all cities and municipalities have imposed curfews to slow the spread of the deadly virus.
In a previous article, VP Leni Robredo’s office said it will provide free shuttle services for the healthcare workers amid the quarantine in Luzon. The move was praised by lots of netizens.
On Friday, March 20, the office of VP Leni Robredo has delivered coronavirus test kits to the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) in Muntinlupa City. The photos were shared on Robredo’s official Facebook Page.
It can be seen on the photos that her staff was packing the COVID-19 test kits. In the caption, she said that they allotted P5.3 million for the test kits. It may be used to conduct a total of 12,750 tests.
Leni Robredo’s office added that the COVID-19 test kits are eyed for the use of RITM and other hospitals that responds to the pandemic: San Lazaro Hospital, Lung Center of the Philippines, UP-National Institutes of Health, Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center in Cebu City, Baguio General Hospital in Baguio City and the Southern Philippines Medical Center in Davao City.
