Good Samaritan in Pasig City Offers Own Building As Quarantine Area For Virus-Affected Residents
A Good Samaritan offered its own private facility to be used as a quarantine area for those people affected by the coronavirus disease.
The coronavirus disease continues to spread in different regions all around the world and affects thousands of people. Many countries including the Philippines are already exerting effort to prevent the spread of the disease.
Kind-hearted people have already appeared to extend help to the government to help people fight the pandemic. Another person with a generous and golden heart offered help to contain COVID-19.
An owner of a private facility in Pasig City has offered its establishment to be used as a quarantine area. The building could accommodate approximately about 100 people for quarantine.
“Quarantine area was just turned over to us by the owner. It will be able to house about 100 people for quarantine,” Mayor Vico Sotto said.
Sotto said that the facility is almost ready but it only needs minor preparations but it will operation starting on Wednesday afternoon (March 18, 2020). The local government would take care of the minor preparations.
The Department of Health out of 187 individuals with coronavirus disease, 11 of them are residents of Pasig City. Some hospitals in the city will also accept virus patients from other cities.
