Authorities Implementing a 24-hour curfew in the Province of Quezon

The province of Quezon police authorities implementing a 24-hour curfew as prevention against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

Since coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak spreads in a lot of countries including the Philippines, authorities are already taking precautionary measures to prevent the spread of contagious disease. President Rodrigo Duterte declares enhance community quarantine and lockdown in several areas.

Meanwhile, the province of Quezon has been under total lockdown as police authorities is implementing 24-hour curfew. This way to prevent the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the province.

In a report of GMA News, Quezon Police Provincial Director Police Col. Audie Madrideo personally led the enforcement of the 24-hour curfew. Cops are roving in Lucena City and warned residents defying the curfew in the initial hours of its implementation.

Madrideo said that the curfew will be strictly implemented and violators will be apprehended. Those apprehended earlier for violating curfew will be sent home, but those who will be caught defying the lockdown rules from Wednesday onward will be held by the police.

Also, Quezon PNP has urged convenience stores and fast-food restaurants to follow the orders of the Department of Health, Madrideo said. Entry and exit checkpoints in the province are tightly being guarded by health workers, police personnel, and soldiers.
