CNN Journalist Pinky Webb Refuses to Grant Hand Shake During Live TV
The CNN journalist Pinky Webb refused to grant a handshake during a live TV broadcast amid the threat of coronavirus outbreak.
The coronavirus disease 2019 brings fear and panic to the public as it continues to spread in different countries all around the world. The virus has already infected thousands of people worldwide.
The Philippine government is already implementing precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the disease. The health scare also causes panic buying of medical supplies including face masks, disinfectants, and alcohol.
The health authorities also advised the public to observe proper hygiene such as regular washing of hands, wearing face masks, covering mouth when sneezing or coughing, and avoiding crowded places because the virus could be easily transmitted through the air and direct contact.
Recently, a Facebook user named Roy Delos Santos Mamaradlo has shared the video footage of Pinky Webb refusing to grant a handshake during live TV coverage. The video goes viral and elicits comments online.
In the video, it can be seen that the Pinay journalist is discussing about making medicines available amid public health emergency due to the coronavirus outbreak. After a few moments, the TV personality gave her closing remarks.
As Pinky is giving her closing remarks, the male guest attempted to give a hand share but the 49-year-old journalist refused to do so.
