Celebrities react to declared Metro Manila community quarantine.
METRO MANILA COMMUNITY QUARANTINE – President Rodrigo Duterte declared Metro Manila to be under community quarantine and these celebrities reacted.
Due to the threatening growth of Coronavirus Diseases 2019 (COVID-19) in the Philippines and the deaths related to it, President Rodrigo Duterte addressed the serious matter and in a live coverage last March 12, he declared Manila under community quarantine. This means that the over 12 million people living in Metro Manila are not allowed to go in and out of the country’s economic and political center. The travel ban comes in either through land, local air travel, and local sea travel from midnight of March 15 until April 14.
Also, barangays are also suggested to undergo quarantine once there are at least two people from various household get positive of COVID-19. Same goes as well to municipalities and cities when there are two persons get positive of the novel from different barangays.
An update, there have been five deaths already recorded related to the virus in the country and the confirmed cases climbed up to a total of 52 persons. Globally, this virus has killed over 4,600 persons and infected over 124,510.
