Claudine Barretto Showbiz Comeback – The Optimum Star is set to make her showbiz comeback after several years of hiatus.
The actress has been known as one of the primetime teleserye queens of the Kapamilya network. Aside from her hit drama series in the past, Claudine also did quite a number of blockbuster hits.
After taking her hiatus, her fans got excited when news about her showbiz comeback surfaced last year. She even did an episode of Kapamilya dram anthology Maalaala Mo Kaya. However, to fans dismay, Claudine did not have her official comeback in 2019.
This 2020, based on the article from Philippine Ultimate Showbiz Hub, the showbiz comeback of the Optimum Star is really happening. Her manager and close friend Bianca Lapus confirmed this.
Talking to the showbiz news site during the screening of the digitally restored Kailangan Kita, the movie featuring Claudine Barretto and Aga Muhlach, Bianca said, “I’m one of her close friends and I’ve been co-managing her with Star Magic since last year.”
As a manager, Bianca also shared that they have been preparing for Claudine’s return to entertainment industry. “We’re just basically planning for her comeback. And now, we’re doing everything. Like right now, nagda-diet siya. Nagpapaganda, nagpapa-sexy. Pine-prepare niya ‘yung sarili niya to make a comeback. She’s really excited to work again,” she said.
She also said that as a co-manager of her friend, one of her job is to make sure that the Optimum is in shape for her showbiz comeback. “More than a co-manager, as a good friend also I’m making other ways also para makatulong sa kanyang pagbabalik,” Bianca added.
The former actress who is now a manager also revealed that Claudine already received an offer to do a teleserye. Meanwhile, the movie offer is still under negotiation, based on the article.
