UAAP Season 82 events are suspended and here is the statement.
UAAP SEASON 82 – President and executive director of UAAP announce suspension of games scheduled until March 14, 2020, this Season 82.
This year’s UAAP is its 82nd season and surely, among the most-anticipated and well-loved games from this event is the volleyball tournament. However, just recently, announced, the games and events which were scheduled until March 14, 2020, are hereby suspended.
This is due to the threats and fears brought about by the coronavirus which now affected 24 persons here in the Philippines based on a previous report as of early morning of March 10. On March 9, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte declared a state of public health emergency with the gradual increase in numbers of infected people and after the country recorded its first ever local transmission of the virus.
Thus, UAAP announced suspension of their event which are scheduled until March 14 following the announcement of public health emergency and suspension of classes in Manila in all levels from March 9 to 15. They have also stressed what the president has said about student staying at home and to continue to study.

Meanwhile, Kapuso noontime show ‘Eat Bulaga’ ‘and ABS-CBN network also announced that they will temporarily suspend live studio audience admission because of the said outbreak. The Kapamilya shows affected by this are “It’s Showtime,” “ASAP Natin ‘To,” “Magandang Buhay,” “Banana Sundae,” and “I Can See Your Voice.”
