PAGASA – Warm, Hot Day Due To Easterlies (March 10, 2020)

PAGASA – Here are the latest updates from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration this March 10, 2020.

The bureau said in its latest weather update that the Philippines will expect warmer weather especially at noontime. This is due to the easterlies or the warm winds blowing from the Pacific Ocean.

According to Inquirer, the following areas will experience temperature ranging to and from the following:

  • Metro Manila – 25 to 35 degrees Celsius
  • Baguio City – 19 to 26 degrees Celsius
  • Tuguegarao, Cagayan – 25 to 35 degrees Celsius
  • Tagaytay City – 21 to 32 degrees Celsius
  • Legazpi City – 25 to 31 degrees Celsius
  • Cebu – 24 to 32 degrees Celsius
  • Tacloban City – 25 to 30 degrees Celsius
  • Iloilo City / Bacolod City – 25 to 32 degrees Celsius
  • Puerto Princesa City – 26 to 32 degrees Celsius
  • Davao City 25 to 34 degrees Celsius
  • Cagayan de Oro City – 23 to 30 degrees Celsius
  • Zamboanga City – 25 to 35 degrees Celsius

The bureau added that the easterlies will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the entire country.

It warned public from areas that might be affected by rain of possible flash floods and landslides.

As per the report, for the wind speed forecast, extreme Northern Luzon will face moderate to strong winds moving in the southeast direction and moderate to rough coastal waters with waves reaching up to 3 meters.

The rest of the country will face light to moderate winds moving in the southeast direction and slight to moderate coastal waters with waves reaching up to 2.8 meters.
