DOH Set To Validate the Alleged 2nd Death Case in the Philippines Due to Coronavirus
DOH – The Department of Health is set to verify the alleged second coronavirus death case in the Philippines.
One of the countries that are currently in the face of containing the spread of the 2019 novel coronavirus is the Philippines. There are now 24 confirmed coronavirus cases in the Philippines.
Most of the said confirmed cases are Filipinos. Among the patients from other races is a Taiwanese and an American national. There were several Pinoy coronavirus patients who had no travel history abroad.
Amid the increasing cases of COVID-19 in the Philippines, Department of Health (DOH) Secretary Francisco Duque III said he received an unverified information about the alleged 2nd coronavirus death case in the country.
According to Duque, the unverified information said that an American patient allegedly passed away before dawn and that the patient has pre-existing medical conditions. Based on the report, speaking to DZMM, the Health Secretary assured he will verify the information.
“I still have to validate that,” he said.
