Woman Gives Birth to Baby on Feb 29, 2020, Exactly 4 Years After Also Giving Birth on Leap Year

A certain woman gives birth to her baby on February 29, 2020 about four years after she also gave birth to her first during a leap year.

February 29 is also known as the ‘Leap Year’, which usually appears on the calendar every four (4) years. There are fewer births during this date compared to other days of the year because it rarely happens.

Babies who were born on a Leap Day could properly celebrate their birthdays every four years only. However, some leap year babies were celebrating their birthdays either on February 28 or March 1.

Recently, another mom goes viral after giving birth during a leap day for the second time. The couple Dane and Lindsay Demchak’s son Omri was born last February 29, 2016. Four years later, Lindsay gave birth to their daughter Scout on February 29, 2020.

Dane joked after Lindsay got pregnant on their second baby that she might give birth again during a leap day. Baby Scout is supposed to be born four days after the Leap Day after Lindsay experienced contractions.

‘I guarantee she’ll come on Omri’s birthday,’” Dane said when he was asked by Lindsay regarding their baby’s estimated due date.

The couple plans to celebrate Omri’s birthday every February 28 while Scout’s every March 1. During a leap year, the couple will hold a grand party for the two leaplings.
