Employee Of Starbucks In Downtown Seattle Positive For COVID-19
STARBUCKS EMPLOYEE POSITIVE FOR COVID-19 – The global spread of the new coronavirus had seen an increasing trend in the USA.
This time, a Starbucks employee was tested positive for COVID-19. In lieu of this, the coffee chain had to shut down one of its stores in downtown Seattle.
Late last night, we learned one of our store partners at our 1st & University store in downtown Seattle was diagnosed with COVID-19 and is self-isolating at home for a period of time
Starbucks had released a statement that said the employee had been “self-isolating at home” and was doing well. Meanwhile, the store had been closed for sanitization.
King County, where Seattle could be found, has 58 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus, COVID-19.
In the U.S., the death toll for the new coronavirus stands at 17. Additionally, more than 330 cases have been confirmed by health authorities.
Johns Hopkins University had also announced that over 100,000 people had already been infected with the virus. This urged health authorities to emphasize the importance of proper hygiene such as washing hands.
Due to the outbreak, people in the US are trying to take advantage of the fears caused by COVID-19. This led Facebook to ban ads and businesses that had listings for medical masks.

According to a report from NBC, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention does not recommend the general public to use masks or respirators.
