PH Coronavirus Patients Include Employee of Taguig Company

EMPLOYEE OF TAGUIG COMPANY – A person working for a financial firm in Taguig City was confirmed positive for the 2019 novel coronavirus.

One of the countries affected by the 2019 novel coronavirus, officially called as COVID-19, is the Philippines. In fact, it is where the first coronavirus death case outside China was recorded.

The COVID-19 first sprung in China, specifically in the city of Wuhan in Hubei province. It carry symptoms such as fever, cough, and breathing difficulties but a patient may also be asymptomatic.

Across the globe, more than 70,000 coronavirus infections were recorded. Furthermore, the disease has led to over 2,000 deaths. Wuhan City is now under a lock-down.

Employee of Taguig Company Confirmed Positive for Coronavirus

The Department of Health (DOH) recently revealed that two (2) new cases of coronavirus in the Philippines were recorded. The patients were Filipinos – one of them has a travel history to Japan.

The total cases of coronavirus in the Philippines now is five (5) – three of them were Chinese nationals. One of these Chinese nationals died while the two (2) have recovered from the disease.

However, it is not yet clear if one of the new patients of coronavirus in the Philippines is an employee of Deloitte Philippines. Recently, the financial firm confirmed that its employee in Taguig company tested positive for coronavirus.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Deloitte has an office in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig. The said giant financial advisory firm assured that its sick employee is now being treated and is supported by the company.

Following the employee of the Taguig company testing positive for coronavirus, the firm decided to inform all those their worker had a contact with about it. It stressed that its top priority is the safety and health of its people, its clients, and its community.
