Kris Aquino supports ABS-CBN amid their franchise renewal battle.

KRIS AQUINO – Former Kapamilya artists Kris Aquino expressed message of support for ABs-CBN network amid the franchise renewal issue.

Last February 24, ABS-CBN Corporation President and Chief Executive Officer Carlo Katigbak attended the first hearing of the franchise renewal of the network. It is accordingly set to expire this May. It was in that encounter also that he publicly apologized to President Rodrigo Duterte over unaired advertisements worth Php 7-million.

They have already refunded approximately Php 4-million to the President which was accepted the remaining amount Php 2.6-million is up for donation as per Duterte after he accepted their apology. As per ABS-CBN statement, they are “grateful and humbled” by it.

Presidential daughter and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, on the other hand, supports the franchise renewal of the network. She said, “Davao City fully supports ABS-CBN sa kanilang pagpapa-renew ng kanilang franchise. Of course malaki din ang suporta ng ABS-CBN sa Davao City at sa buong bansa.”

And now, another famous personality expressed support for ABS-CBN. She is a former artist of the network and have made iconic game shows and horror films while she was still under the network’s management.

In her post with videos from her past programs, she expressed that her prayers and good wishes are with the marshalls, crew, cameramen, technical staff, production assistants and personnel, writers, creative teams, and everyone she has worked with during her roughly 20 years as a Kapamilya.

She is grateful for all the things that have happened to her when she was still in the network. Aquino added, “Both my sons went from crawling to running while celebrating our many milestones on ABS-CBN.”
