Protesters Want Pres. Duterte to Resign for Allowing Chinese in the Philippines
A group of anti-Duterte protesters gathered to conducting protest and prayer vigil at the People Power Monument in Quezon City.
In our previous reports, the vice president Leni Robredo said that she is not part of any movement calling for President Rodrigo Duterte’s ouster. Robredo clarified that she’s not part of the protest organized by citizens calling for Duterte’s resignation.
Leni Robredo said she believed that everyone has the right of free speech but accusing the country’s leader of alleged misdeeds should be done accordingly. The Constitutional court decides whether he is guilty or not.
Meanwhile, the Anti-Duterte group gathered at People Power Monument in Quezon City for conducting prayer vigil and protesting about President Rodrigo Duterte allowing China in the Philippines, as DZBB reported.
According to the report, they want Pre. Duterte to resign in his position because of its alleged willingness to allow China to enter the Philippines. People’s crowd estimate has reached 150.
On Twitter, netizens slam these people for their protest to the President. Others say that they were paid for these activities. Videos and photos posted on the DZBB Twitter account about the rally earned various reactions from the netizens.
