LPA’s Trough To Bring Rains Over Parts of Philippines, PAGASA Says
LATEST WEATHER UPDATE – The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the LPA’s trough would bring rains over some parts of the Philippines.
On Saturday (February 29, 2020), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather updates in the country. The weather bureau said that the trough of a low-pressure area would affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA said that the low-pressure area’s trough would bring cloudy weather conditions with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over the region of Mindanao. Flash floods and landslides are possible during severe thunderstorms.
The northeast monsoon or locally known as Amihan would bring partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with isolated light rains over Luzon, Metro Manila, Visayas, and the remaining parts of the country.
The weather agency also warned the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flashfloods and landslides.
Meanwhile, the coastal water conditions over the eastern sections of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao would be rough. Moderate to rough surrounding sea conditions are expected over the rest of the archipelago.
