CZECHOSLOVAKIA – In this topic, we are going to know about a former state in Central Europe called Czechoslovakia.
Also spelled Czecho-Slovakia, it is a sovereign state in Central Europe, it is known locally as Československo or Česko-Slovensko in both Czech and Slovak.
The state existed in 1918 when it announced its independence from the Austro-Hungarian Empire. the nation dissolved peacefully in late 1992 into two countries we know today as Slovakia and Czech Republic.
Its capital was Prague, which is now the capital of Czech Republic. The people residing in this state are called Czechoslovaks. Its languages include:

It was governed by five governments with the last one called the Czech and Slovak Federative Republic.
The last president to govern the state was Václav Havel and its last prime minister was Jan Stráský.
The state’s motto was ‘Pravda vítězí in Czech and Slovak Pravda víťazí’ and ’Veritas vincit’ in Latin, which means “Truth Prevails”.
It has two anthems: in Czech, it’s ’Kde domov můj’ or “Where my home is”; and ’Nad Tatrou sa blýska’ in Slovak, which means “Lightning Over the Tatras.
