PAGASA – Amihan to Affect Luzon On Friday (February 21, 2020)

PAGASA – Here are the latest updates from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration this February 21, 2020.

The latest weather update from the bureau states that the northeast monsoon or amihan will affect Luzon on this day.

According to GMA News, amihan will bring cloudy skies with light rains over Cagayan Valley, the Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Aurora, Quezon, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, and Panay Island.

The weather system will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over the capital, as well as the rest of Luzon and Visayas.

The entire Mindanao region will face partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides might occur especially during severe thunderstorms.

As per the report, for the forecast wind speed, northern and southern Luzon, and the eastern section of the Philippines will have strong winds moving northeastward with rough coastal waters.

The rest of the country will face moderate to strong winds also moving northeastward with moderate to rough coastal waters.
