Thief In Valencia City, Bukidnon, Was Arrested For Kidnapping

VALENCIA CITY – A thief in Valencia in Bukidnon province was arrested for planning to kidnap a little girl on February 19 (Wednesday).

According to SunStar, the kidnapper-thief was identified as Eric Cabrejas, aged 47, of Malaybalay City.

The police reported that the victim, a girl two years of age, was on the terrace after eating breakfast while the mother went inside to fetch water.

As the mother came back she was surprised to see her daughter taken away by Cabrejas. This urged her to seek aid and police assisstance.

Probers reported that the suspect lured the girl with candies, which are still in her hands after the rescue.

Recovered from the suspect were his identification cards, marriage contract, clothing, candies, money and other documents. Police also said that the suspect feigned illness during interrogation.

As per the report, Lieutenant Colonel Surki Serenas , chief of the local city police said that Cabrejas is a self-confessed thief. He is now detained and will face charges.
