Filipina actress Angel Locsin said she decided not to renew her contract with the ABS-CBN network because she will help her fiance Neil Arce prepare for their wedding. She is now one of the most promising actresses in the Philippines. Angel rose to fame after playing the role of Alwina in the Kapuso fantasy-themed series Mulawin and as the Filipino superhero ‘Darna.’
People call the 34-year-old celebrity the “real-life angel” or “real-life Darna” because of her generosity towards the people who were affected by calamities. In December last year, she was listed by Forbes Asia as one of the region’s “Heroes of Philanthropy.”
It can be recalled that Angel Locsin was supposed to do the ‘Darna’ movie but she gave up the role due to her back injury. Now, the role of the Filipina superhero will be played by the former Girltrends member Jane de Leon.
The prominent actress took to social media to congratulate her for bagging the role. Last month, director Jerrold Tarog confirmed that they officially start filming the movie reboot.
