Robin Padilla challenges artists who showed support to ABS-CBN
Actor Robin Padilla challenges both Kapamilya and Kapuso stars who showed support to ABS-CBN amid the franchise renewal issue.
Amid this issue, several stars from the Kapamilya network wholeheartedly aired their support to ABS-CBN through their social media posts. Several personalities from the Kapuso network also showed support to their fellow artists in the industry.
However, Robin, who has done several shows in the Kapamilya network has a different view regarding this issue. His first post, which was deleted, reiterated that “no man is above and under the law“. Apparently, he was calling for justice to be served.
However, he decided to take down his post because his wife Mariel Padilla, who is still part of Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime, asked him to delete it. On the other hand, Robin is still standing firm in his views that the network should hold accountability to the complaints being thrown at it.
Following that, through his Facebook post, Robin Padilla challenges his fellow artists, whether a Kapamilya or a Kapuso, to reveal to the public what was written in their contracts. “Para sa mga superstar ng abscbn at gma hinahamon ko kayo humarap ng live at ipagtanggol nyo ang mga network niyo ilabas natin ang mga contract natin at ikumpara natin sa mga kasama natin sa trabaho sa taping at shooting,” he said.
He added if those who are supporting ABS-CBN really want to put things right then they must start by talking about the right amount of salary and benefits, including the right time duration at work. The actor also asked several questions to them.
“Paano yun mga hindi regular? yun mga tao sa tent niyo at portalet buwan hanggang taon yan na kasama ninyo depende sa haba ng show niyo natanong niyo man lang ba kung sub contract ba sila ng regular employee ng abscbn at kung may overtime pay ba sila? Ilan ang laborer at sub contract ng regular employees ng abscbn? Sino sino? Yun pagkain parehas ba kayo ng kinakain ng mga crew? Tama ba sa sustansya?” he asked.
Robin also stressed out that he is in favor of the renewal of ABS-CBN’s franchise but he said that the agreement of Chairwoman Liza DIño and Secretary Silvestre Bello in there mission and vision should be included. The actor said that he is willing and much ready to reveal his contract and so the salaries and benefits may be compared to their co-workers.
“Magpalabasan na tayo para makita ng publiko let us give it to them tutal napakadrama ninyo gawin na nating teleserye punuin natin ng revelations ang isyu na ito na dapat pinag uusapan sa korte at congress,” he added.
