Apparently, this issue is not just affecting ABS-CBN and the people under the media company but also people in the industry in general as well. Through social media, supporters of the network are shouting their support, urging the government to take an action.
On the other hand, there are also several people who are supporting the opposite side as they say “yes” to ABS-CBN shutdown. Amid this issue, Kapamilya stars are fervently pleading for the positive result. Even artists from other TV networks expressed their support just like Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes.
This issue has been the talk of the town among media personalities these past few days. However, Entertainment columnist Noel Ferrer wrote in his article in PEP that there are talents from a TV network who were prohibited to rally behind ABS-CBN.
According to Ferrer, he received messages from people in the industry that shocked him. He said that these talents were reprimanded and ordered to take down their posts showing support for the Kapamilya network.
It was said that the reason behind the prohibition is their contract. Based on the article, this was stated in their contract: “talent should not appear, participate or promote event of any other media entity other than their own.”
Ferrer did not reveal the identities of the talents who were prohibited. He did not name the TV network as well. However, the columnist stated that it is a sad news if this is true because the issue is an obstacle to them as a sector.
