GMA’s Primetime King Dingdong Dantes and other Kapuso stars showed support to ABS-CBN amid the issue on the network’s franchise renewal.

Now that the month of March is fast approaching, the issue regarding the impending franchise renewal of the Kapamilya network has beome a burning topic on social media. Several netizens who are on the side of ABS-CBN are shouting online to show their support.

On the other hand, those who are supporting the side of President Rodrigo Duterte are also vocal about their desire to see the network’s shutdown. Kapamilya stars cried in unison on social media to defend their home network such as Vice Ganda, Regine Velasquez, Anne Curtis, and many more.

Amid this issue, Kapuso stars also took their views on social media. Dingdong Dantes posted a thread on his Twitter account. He stressed out that at this point, network rivalry is not vital as everyone is in the same industry.

He also shared that same opinion as what Rep. Lito Atienza said regarding this matter. “I pray too that the government, thru Congress, will hear out its constituents. After all, Congress is supposed to represent our “voice”,” he added.

Kapuso actress Jasmine Curtis retweeted the said post of Dingdong Dantes saying, “I second this, Big Boss (heart emoji).” Aside from them Dear Uge star Eugene Domingo also posted on her social media showing her support for the Kapamilya network.

Based on the article from the Philippine Entertainment Portal, even former Kapuso reporter Michael Fajatin, who is now working in UNTV News and Rescue showed support to ABS-CBN as well as Paolo Bediones, who is a former host in GMA.
