Former AGT Champion Praises Marcelito Pomoy
MARCELITO POMOY – ‘Americas Got Talent champion Shin Lim said he is Marcelito Pomoy’s “super big fan.”
Filipino singer Marcelito Pomoy is one of the most unique singers in the world. He is known for his ability to sing in a male and female voice. He rose to fame after winning the ABS-CBN talent show ‘Pilipinas Got Talent.’ He was recognized abroad for his “golden female voice’ and guested on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”
The 35-year-old singer joined ‘Americas’ Got Talent: The Champions.’ He received a standing ovation from both the crowd and the judges – Alesha Dixon, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, and Simon Cowell.
Marcelito Pomoy advances to the finals of AGT: The Champions season two. He will be competing with Hans, Alexa Lauenburer, V Unbeatable, Angelina Jordan, Tyler Butler-Figueroa, Dio Transcend, Silhouettes, Sandou Tio Russian Bar, and Boogie Storm.
In a previous article, NBC stated that only 50 superfans are chosen to vote. “We compiled a group of superfans for each show taping that is reflective and as diverse as our nationwide viewing audience… research team sourced delegates from all 50 states who have been longtime and dedicated viewers of ‘AGT’,” it said.
The former champion of ‘AGT’ Shin Lim was full of praise for Marcelito Pomoy. He said he is a “super big fan” of the Pinoy singer.
The Canadian-American magician posted a reaction video on Pomoy’s rendition of Andrea Bocelli’s “Con Te Partido.” It came with a caption, “My reaction after watching @marcelitopomoy8 perform.”
Marcelito Pomoy shared the screencap of Shin Lim’s post. He thanked him for his compliments and said he’s one of his fans. “Thank you @shinlimmagic – AGT Grand Champion and AGT Champions Edition season 1 grand champion… I am a fan,” he wrote.
The fate of the Pinoy pride is now in the hand of the AGT superfans. He performed Peabo Bryson and Celine Dion’s version “Beauty and The Beast” for the grand finals.
