Surely, lots of people were asking how to vote for their favorite AGT: The Champions contestant. In the previous season of the show, fans are allowed to vote via phone, Google searches, and text message. Based on a report from ABS-CBN, only 50 AGT superfans are chosen to vote.

The National Broadcasting Company (NBC) told to Gold Derby that the AGT superfan voting method is a way to “empower our fans” since this season was not airing live. The producer of the contest said “delegates from all 50 states” will represent the viewers.

“We compiled a group of superfans for each show taping that is reflective and as diverse as our nationwide viewing audience… research team sourced delegates from all 50 states who have been longtime and dedicated viewers of ‘AGT’,” NBC said.

According to the report, AGT superfans will view all the acts of the finalists and cast their votes “via electronic keypads.”

“While we have expert judges who provide commentary on each act and get to provide one Golden Buzzer each throughout the season, the final decision comes down to our loyal viewers,” NBC said.
