Chinese Woman Scares Man with Bad Intention by Telling She’s Infected
A Chinese woman scares away a man with bad intention to her by pretending to cough and telling him that she’s from Wuhan.
A 25-year-old woman in China has scared away a would be sexual offender during the coronavirus outbreak by pretending to cough and telling him that she was from Wuhan and contracted the virus.
According to the report of Daily Mail, Police said the suspect, a man named Xiao, 25, broke into her bedroom last Friday in the city of Jingshan, China, near the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak.
As he tried to launch sexual assault on the victim who was by herself, the healthy woman shouted in desperation she told him: ‘I just returned from Wuhan and have been infected, therefore I am home alone in self-quarantine.’
The victim, named by police as Yi, also pretended to cough while trying to push away Xiao, as he squeezed her neck and cover her mouth. The culprit was frightened by her claims and ran away, while stealing a phone and cash worth 3,080 (£338) from her.
The incident took place in the township of Pingba on the outskirts of Jingshan, which is a three-hour drive from Wuhan. They said the man turned himself accompanied by his father after officers launched a search to find him.
He is said to have confessed to burglary and that he intended further ‘wrongdoing’ and was arrested. The police said Xiao, a local resident, had walked out on his family the same night and had no money, therefore he intended to rob.
He was wearing a mask while committing the crime, but the woman was able to describe his body shape and characteristics of his voice. He admitted his guilt and is now in detention.
