MIKAEL DAEZ – Kapuso actor and host Mikael Daez speaks about how he proposed to his long time girlfriend then and wife now Megan Young.
Kapuso host and actor did not exactly remembered what happened but he shared that his proposal to his longtime girlfriend and wife now, Miss World 2013 Megan Young, was just spur of the moment decision and very spontaneous. It happened in a hotel and they were hanging out together and suddenly felt the urge to ask for her hand even without the ring. Accordingly, it happened some time around 2014.
The blue ring he posted on Instagram was given to her just this year’s January. He said, “Parang… iyon lang urge na tanungin siya na mag-commit kay Megan… and sabi ko, inire-respect iyong urge na ‘to. Tinanong ko nga siya, and she said yes. And five years later, happily ever after, di ba?”
It has been more than nine years since they got officially back together. They were so low profile about their relationship that they were already on their sixth year when they came out as a couple last 2017. And after more than nine years, they tied the knot – one in a civil wedding ceremony and second, in a church wedding.
A combination of tangerine and nude colors, the whole wedding of Mikael and Megan, which they hosted the reception as well, was all cozy and cool. Megan ditched some traditional things in wedding such as opting to carry a flower wreath instead of a bouquet and a dainty V back dress by Patricia Santos as his wedding gown instead of choosing that has a long tail.
