Latest Count of Suspected Cases of Coronavirus in PH According to DOH

DOH – The Department of Health released the latest count of the suspected novel coronavirus cases in the Philippines.

Currently, the 2019 novel coronavirus continues to alarm several countries outside China where it was first recorded. The first case of the said highly-contagious disease was recorded in Wuhan City.

The novel coronavirus is said to have symptoms that are similar with common flu. A patient may experience fever, shortness of breath, and cough. The signs may appear within two (2) weeks or fourteen (14) days since the exposure to the host.

Wuhan City is now under an outbreak of the novel coronavirus. At least 100 people died due to the said disease and more than five (5) thousand are currently infected.

The novel coronavirus outbreak has even reached other countries. Several people visited Wuhan before the outbreak of the said disease. Currently, there are confirmed cases in the United States, France, Germany, Nepal, and Austalia. Hong Kong also has a huge count of infected people.

In the Philippines, there are suspected cases of novel coronavirus. Recently, the DOH released the latest count of the suspected cases. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the health department revealed that it is at 23.

According to Health Secretary Francisco Duque III, four (4) people have already been discharged as they tested negative on the nCoV. He assured that the Philippines is still free from confirmed cases.
