KOBE BRYANT – Pinoy boxing champ Manny Pacquiao paid tribute to the late NBA star Kobe Bryant on Monday.
The NBA star and his 13-year-old daughter Giana died in a helicopter crash early Monday (Manila time). They are on their way to Mamba University for basketball practice. The accident happened near Las Virgenes Road and Willow Glen Street in Calabasas, California.
Kobe Bryant’s last social media post is about another icon from the field, LeBron James. He congratulated his fellow basketball player for surpassing him on BNA all-time scoring list. “On to #2 @kingjames! Keep growing the game and charting the path for the next,“ he wrote.
Filipino celebrities are taking to their social media accounts to express their shock over the sudden death of the basketball icon. Among the celebrities who paid tribute are Anne Curtis, KC Concepcion, Ruffa Gutierrez, Derek Ramsay, and Arnel Pineda.
The latest Pinoy celebrity to pay tribute to the basketball icon Kobe Bryant is the legendary boxer, Manny Pacquiao. The world champion boxer, who is an avid basketball fan, took to social media to honor the former Los Angeles Lakers superstar.
“The world lost a legend today but the impact and legacy he leaves behind will last forever! #RIPMamba,” he wrote.
