PAGASA – Amihan To Affect Most Of Philippines (January 21)
PAGASA – Weather bureau PAGASA recently said that the northeast monsoon will affect most of the Philippines this January 21 (Tuesday).

The bureau elaborated that the northeast monsoon or amihan will bring cloudy skies with light rains over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Aurora, and Quezon.
According to GMA News, the bureau warned of intermittent gusts might occur especially in coastal and mountainous areas.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to amihan.
As per the report, for the wind speed forecast, the whole country will have moderate to strong winds moving in the northeast direction with moderate to rough coastal waters.
Meanwhile, yesterday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said that Taal Volcano still remains under Alert Level 4 as volcanic quakes and sulfur dioxide emissions remain a week after its initial eruption.
Yesterday’s record on the sulfur dioxide emission remains at 4,353 tons per day, which is the same as what’s indicated on the institute’s January 19 (Sunday) 6 PM bulletin.
The institute added that the activity in the main crater was described by “steady steam emission and infrequent weak explosions,” adding that it generated white to dirty white ash plumes, 500 to 1,000 meters tall to areas southwest of the main crater.
