Class Suspension Declared In These Areas on Friday (January 17)

WALANG PASOK – Several local government units have declared class suspension in different areas due to Taal Volcano’s eruption.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology continues to monitor the activities in Taal Volcano. Taal is still under Alert Level 4, which indicates that a hazardous explosive eruption is expected within the next few hours or days.

Taal’s eruption also displaced thousands of residents in Batangas, Cavite, and Tagaytay as it spews ash plumes and small stones. The continuous ashfall has already damaged numerous properties and animals.
